Top 10 Unsolved Mysteries

 10. John F. Kennedy's Assassination

Majority of the Americans are convinced that Lee Harvey Oswald could not have acted alone and that the way they explained it was not how the assassination could have been carried out. This unsolved mystery remains the darkest and most vivid stain on the record of American Intelligence and American democracy, or the lack of it since it is alleged that the President could have been done away with for going against the wishes of those in power. Could the President have been killed by the military and Industrial Mob or by some other force for his alliance with the infamous Marilyn Monroe? We will never know. JFK's assassination, trial of Oswald, and the subsequent events have been a subject of many detective novels and movie.

9. Bermuda Triangle

The 20th century saw dozens of ships and aircrafts disappeared into the Bermuda triangle, situated in the North Atlantic Ocean. This area is known for having some strange magnetic force; the aircrafts that have disappeared have done so without leaving any trace behind. No debris can be found and there comes an end to all sorts of transmission. Due to this strange phenomenon this particular area on the map has been named the Devil's Triangle. Some people have even associated religious connection with this place.

8. Loch Ness Monster

This is the largest of the three lochs located in Great Glen, near North Scotland. The mystery here is that of the Loch Ness Monster, a large aquatic animal that has been sighted by many over the past whole century. While great efforts have been put into finding this Loch Ness Monster, deploying cruising teams and what not, the scientists still haven't been able to explain the sightings. While many contend that the monster just simply does not exist, a great many prefer to keep an open door on this issue.

7. Stonehendge

Megalithic ruins situated on Salisbury Plain, England, this is a combination of earth, timber and stone structures that have been re-modeled over the past 1400 years. What exactly could have motivated those people to build these structures? Could it be religion? The answers to these have not been found and yet the Stonehenge continues to be a main tourist attraction for the sheer fact that these structures are majestic in their appearance and undoubtedly religious.

6. The Lost City of Atlantis

The legend of the lost city of ATLANTIS was first mentioned by the Greek philosopher Plato. Plato was always great at stirring up trouble. Two of his dialogues: Timaeus and Critias have served as the basis for the theory behind the Lost City of Atlantis. While many critics attribute this story to the creation of a philosopher's imagination to illustrate an argument, proponents claim that it was the other way around.
Is Atlantis an exaggeration based on the ancient cities of Thera in the Mediterranean? Or could it be real? Is it possible for an advanced and rich civilization to have existed in the Atlantic Ocean circa 9,000 BC? By most accounts, the only written records of Atlantis are found in Timaeus and Critias. Another possible destination is around the Azores Islands, a group of islands belonging to Portugal, 900 miles west of the Portuguese coast. Some actually argue that these islands are the mountaintops of the sunken continent of Atlantis.

5. Crystal Skulls

Skulls are humanity's foremost symbol of death, and a powerful icon in the visual vocabularies of cultures all over the globe. Thirteen crystal skulls of apparently ancient origin have been found in parts of Mexico, Central America and South America, comprising one of the most fascinating subjects of 20th Century archaeology.
These skulls, found near the ancient ruins of Mayan and Aztec civilizations are a mystery as profound as the Pyramids of Egypt, the Nazca Lines of Peru, or Stonehenge. Some of the skulls are believed to be between 5,000 and 40,000 years old.
Much research is currently being done on the skulls. However, their origin is still a mystery. They seem to defy logic. Everything that is known about lapidary work indicates that the skulls should have been shattered fractured, or fallen apart when carved.

4. Life Away from Earth

To argue that life can exist elsewhere is reasonable. Life that does not originate from Earth is also referred to as alien life or simply aliens. Life away from Earth has not yet been proved or disproved. Aliens may possibly exist on other planets. There's no conclusive proof, but there are certain possibilities within the Solar System. Mars is promising for microbial life, Europa and Enceladus both have global oceans which may harbour life. Beyond the Solar System, there may be infinite possibilities of life as the universe is also infinite.

3. Shroud of Turin
The shroud of Turin is a linen cloth bearing the image of a man who had apparently died of crucifixion. Most Catholics consider it to be the burial shroud of Jesus Christ. It is currently held in the Cathedral of St John the Baptist in Turin, Italy. Despite many scientific investigations, no one has yet been able to explain how the image has been imprinted on the shroud and despite many attempts, no one has managed to replicate it. Radiocarbon tests date it to the middle ages, however apologists for the shroud believe it is incorrupt and carbon dating can only date things which decay.

 2. Creation of the Universe

The universe is vast and unknown. It holds many mysteries. And possibly the biggest mystery is how the universe was created. Scientists have suggested that there was a massive explosion billions of years ago called The Big Bang. That theory is now generally accepted, and scientists are looking for trails of energy left behind from the colossal explosion that created a trillion stars. Yet there is no absolute proof. But the creation of the universe is something too big to happen so simply. Religious folks will say God/Allah/Vishnu created the universe. But scientists will say that there was a Big Bang, and that there is energy from the bang moving through the universe, and they are trying to locate the epicentre. So, the debate continues. Religion vs. Science is probably the biggest conflict in the world. But what is religion? There are so many different types. And the difference between the Christian religion and Greek mythology? No one believes in Greek mythology anymore. But what is science? And math? Things created by man. So before saying that man created God and science proves it, people should realize man created science as well. And maybe, the universe is just something made up in our minds.

1. GOD

Undoubtedly, God's existence is the greatest unsolved mystery. Through the course of history, people have used religion and God more as an explanation for matters that they couldn’t understand, and for answers to questions that they couldn’t answer. With time, science and research have shown that things had other reasons behind them. Others have pointed to religion as a spiritual recluse, and a relationship between the individual and his Lord.
A look at ancient civilization points to a recurring cycle: People assume a certain social phenomenon to be God's will, and they become convinced that there is no other way than His. Just as Plato wrote about virtue and the Bible told men how to live, various people throughout history have claimed different things. It is entirely possible that these works were His words, but there is no guarantee.

Top 10 Ancient Mysteries

10. The Nazca Lines

Drawn into a high plateau in Peru’s Nazca Desert, a group of ancient designs stretching more than 60 miles has astounded archaeologists for decades. Along with simple lines and geometric shapes, drawings of animals, birds and humans have also been made, some measuring 700 feet across. From their colossal size, the drawings can only be viewed and appreciated from way up in the air – and there is no evidence that the Nazca people invented flying machines. According to ancient astronaut theorists, the figures were used as guidelines for spaceships as they came in for landing and the lines served as runways.

9. Vimanas

Many Sanskrit stories, which were written in India more than two millennia ago, contain information about mythical flying machines called “Vimanas”. Comparing the similarities between descriptions of Vimanas and people who have observed UFO’s, ancient alien theorists have suggested that India was visited in the past by astronauts from other planets.

8. Pyramids of Giza

Ancient alien theorists believe that visitors from other planets helped humans build architectural wonders like Egypt’s Giza Pyramid. Not only is Giza an incredible feat of engineering for its time, but it lies at the intersection of the longest lines of latitude and longitude. How is this possible? Did the builders of the pyramids already understand the Earth was round and its dimensions?

7.Teotihuacan

Ancient alien theorists have pointed out that some ancient monuments demonstrate a thorough knowledge of astronomy surpassing knowledge of later cultures. The Pyramid of the Sun at Mexico’s Teotihuacan lies at the center of a complex of pyramids, each aligned with a planet in the solar system.

6. The Sumerians

The Sumerians are one the oldest civilizations known to man. The Sumerians believed they were created by the Annunaki, which was a group of E.T’s. The Sumerians believed the Annunaki came from the stars to planet earth to mine for gold. According to ancient myths, the Annunaki needed workers to mine for gold, so they genetically engineered and created the Sumerians (or humans).

5. Pacal’s Sarcophagus

From Southern Mexico, Pacal the Great ruled over the Mayan city of Palenque, during the seventh century. He was buried inside a pyramid called the Temple of Inscriptions. The intricately carved lid of his sarcophagus has become a classic work of Mayan art and also proof and evidence for ancient alien theorists. In their view, Pacal is pictured in a spaceship during takeoff, with his hand on a control panel, his foot on a pedal and an oxygen tube in his mouth.

5. Mahabharata and Ramayana

These are Ancient Indian Epics that talk about a great battle with men in flying machines, nuclear like explosions and large powerful weapons. Written over 2000 years ago. Are they just a good story or did they witness something in the sky back then? There are also interesting parallels to this concept in the Bible.

3. Puma Punku

Located in South America, in the Bolivian highlands, Puma Punku is a field of stone ruins scattered with enormous, finely carved blocks. Such precise workmanship on a massive scale would have been nearly impossible without modern tools and machines, yet the ruins are more than 1,000 years old. Ancient alien theorists have hypothesized that extraterrestrials with advanced engineering techniques created the site or advised the people who built it. The Stones of Pumu Punku are made up of granite and diorite, and the only stone harder is diamond. Not only were these stones really hard to cut, but they were also extremely heavy. One of these stones weighs 700 tons!

Image shows a stone with precisely cut straight line and tooled holes within the line. Not only were these stones really hard to cut, but they were also extremely heavy. One of these stones weighs 800 tons!

2. Aliens and the Third reich

During the second world war, Germany possessed the most technologically advanced military in the world. Weapons such as the jet aircraft, precision bombers and guided missiles designed to blitzkrieg along Europe. They developed the first cruise missile V1 buzz bomber and V2, the first ballistic missile. German scientists were the envy of the world, but what made them so advanced? Were they simply smarter than others? They were simply viewing ancient texts as source of historical and scientific fact. The Nazi’s were the best oriental scholars in the world, so they translated ancient texts such as the Hindu Sanskrit in to German.
In 1939, German scientists invented their own flying saucer shaped aircraft and called it the “Haunebu”. When the Nazi party swept in to power in 1933, The Vril society encouraged Hitler and his henchmen to fund a world wide search of ancient alternative technologies. German scientists and researchers scoured the planet for ancient texts and relics, such as the holy grail and the arc of the covenant. Much more evidence points to the Nazi’s dealing with alien technology.

1. Ancient Aliens

In different mythologies of the world, there is one thing common that their God comes from the sky. That means they are aliens according to the definition and become God by helping and developing us. There is no 100% proof for what written in different ancient texts followed by most of the peoples. Vimanas of the Sanskrit epics are the flying chariots employed by various gods that might be UFOs.

So, many people believes ancient gods are actually aliens but, there is no concrete evidence that supports this hypothesis. It's still a myth until something else comes up.
